Feather Extensions and Hair Tinsel

I have noticed lots of fun hair adornments lately, a la feather extensions and hair tinsel.

Feather Extensions

My friend Bridget has a feather in and it is so trendy and fun!

These are from www.finefeatherheads.com

There's many salons where you can get the feathers put in or your can order a kit from an online supplier.

Hair Tinsel

First spotted on Adrienne Maloof, of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,  it is exactly what it sounds.

You can order your own at www.hairtinsel.net

I like both trends but I think my curly hair would probably "eat it"  and the extensions would end up a matted mess or just disappear into my hair all together .  Thoughts?

Glee Regionals Dress

Ok I can admit it I'm a total gleek. And the blue regional's dress that the girls wore last night would be such a cute bridesmaid dress!

It's by Jenny Yoo  ( who made the orange bridesmaid dresses for the wedding ) .
http://www.jennyyoo.com/shangtung14.html  $320

The belt and rhinestones were added.
Jenny Yoo Nina Dress - $320.00
Of course the Regionals dress is Jenny Yoo - the same brand as the bridesmaid dresses from ‘Furt’. In fact, this is Rachel’s dress, but in blue.
Another thing to know is that the swatches on the website are deceptive - the colour of the dress is “mist blue”, but it doesn’t look anything like the picture. But if you have a look at the other dresses, the ‘mist blue’ dresses look far more like the dress above.
And of course, the sparkly stones and belt were added in (:

These boots are made for walking

Cuzzie and I are in love with our Steve Madden INTYCE boots. They have  a leather upper and a 1 inch wedge. I love them because you can dress them up and down and I like that my black ones have an equestrian feel to them.  I think I might snatch up the grey too! Newsworthy Nails

How fun is this . . . I saw this on comment on cupcakes and cashmeres fan page.

You will need:

a small glass of rubbing alcohol or vodka
10 strips of newspaper (bigger than your nails)
LIGHT nailpolish. white, clear, light pink, etc. anything LIGHT
Okay now do this:

After painting your nails

Dip your nails in the alcohol for a while so the whole nail is wet
press a strip of the newspaper on your nail and hold firmly for 30 seconds. do NOT move the strip, keep it firm.
You're done! Now go over with a clear coat so it’ll last

I did mine over pink polish and use whipped vodka ( all i had) it worked well. Make sure to do it individually to the nails and press hard for darker print.

Hopefully I can figure out how to send pics from my phone.
