Honeymoon St.Lucia

So Scott and I waited to go on our honeymoon about a month after the wedding. This to me made alot of sense. We were able to stay up late partying with our friends, we enjoyed our day after party with out stress of having to run off to catch our flight, we opened presents and put them away as well as piece our home back together and we had something to look forward to .

I have had quite a few questions about Sandals in St.Lucia so here's my two cents.

We stayed at the Sandals Grande in St.Lucia. This was definitely the biggest and nicest of the resorts. We ate alot of food, spent alot of time on the beach and pool bar, got a couples massage, went horseback riding, golfing, hydro biking and had a great time enjoying cocktails at the resort.

I would obviously recommend packing lots of sunscreen and sun protection as well as a watch. My florist told me ( after she went to Sandals in Jamaica) to bring a watch because you will completely  lose track of time, and we did! Different restaurants have different dress codes so dress accordingly.

I would not recommend the candlelight dinner, they messed ours up and I'm still waiting for the refund they  said they would issue me. Go to Barefoot on the beach at night for the same dining on the beach experience.

Hidden treasures on the resort are  Toscanni's champagne breakfast and the steam rooms/saunas/ whirlpool that are open 24hrs which we used to detox after indulging in the all inclusive drinks and food.

If you are in St.Lucia or love daiquiris have them make you a BBC!
A BBC is
*1 banana
*a shot of Baileys ( or so)
* 2 shots coconut cream
Add ice and blend!

This is a delicious drink which tastes like a dirty banana but better!

Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Safe Travels!

Horseback riding in the ocean.

Scott's new hat, made by "the coconut man" who is featured on the Paula Deen show when her family vacations to St.Lucia.

Lunch at Josephines. Sushi and a chocolate milkshake , odd combo.

View of the main pool and pool bar.

Golfing.

Early start at the pool bar.

The view of the beach and the Pitons mountains.

You have to write your name in the sand on your honeymoon!

Dinner at Barefoot on the Beach. They had great calamari and ceviche.
